Have you done any changes to your device? Was it like this since you unboxed it? Have you updated the Halo Keyboard driver to version 2.0.0.7? The only thing that still works when the device is folded is the pen key which is so annoying as I keep touching it by mistake. The Halo Keyboard is supposed to automatically disappear when you fold the device. Avoid using it while charging.Ībout the problem in which the Halo Keyboard still functions while folding the Yoga Book to tablet mode, that is not normal. Don't use the device when it's overheating as it will drop the performance. Select 'Performance' in the 3D settings in Intel Graphics Properties. Note: it will significantly increase the battery consumption. Make sure you select High Performance power plan if you have it, or change the power slider (by clicking on the battery icon on the taskbar) to Best Performance when that extra power is needed. I assume you need to do some tweakings here and there to get the maximum out of your device. I could have a better experience using my full sized laptop but it's not terrible after all.

I've been reading large PDF files last week and it did not feel as slow as you describe. The Yoga Book is not a fast machine indeed, but it is not certainly that slow.
